Utah League of Cities and Towns

Making Life BETTER

2020 Elected Officials Essentials Training

Every two years – following municipal elections – the Utah League of Cities and Towns presents municipal official workshops at locations around the state. These workshops are geared towards both newly elected officials and experienced officials who are interested in a “refresher” course. The day-long training includes a copy of newest edition of The Municipal Official’s Powers and Duties Handbook. Ample opportunities to ask questions and become familiar with the “ins” and “outs” of municipal government are also included. As with last year, The League will broadcast the training from Utah State University in Logan to USU extension sites around the state on Saturday, January 4th, 2020. For municipal officials along the Wasatch Front, an additional live training will be held in North Salt Lake on Saturday, December 14th, 2019. See more details for the respective dates below.
