Every two years – following municipal elections – the Utah League of Cities and Towns presents municipal official workshops at locations around the state. These workshops are geared towards both newly elected officials and experienced officials who are interested in a “refresher” course. The day-long training includes a copy of newest edition of The Municipal Official’s Powers and Duties Handbook. Ample opportunities to ask questions and become familiar with the “ins” and “outs” of municipal government are also included. This year, in order to reach more locations, The League will be broadcasting the training from Utah State University in Logan to USU extension sites in St. George, Roosevelt, Ephraim, Moab, and Price. The live broadcast event will be on Saturday, December 2nd. All USU extension sites will have ULCT staff to answer questions and provide addition information. For municipal officials along the Wasatch Front, an additional live training will be held in North Salt Lake on Saturday, January 6th.
